Independence Day 2 – Resurgence

Usually, versioning means the translation of the poster texts – title, subtitle, narrative cards etc. – keeping the background photo (or illustration) as it is.

For the Italian posters of this film, Twentieth Century Fox Italia challenged us to recreate those already made for New York, Paris and London with Italian cities.

The original posters of Independence Day 2 – Resurgence by Roland Emmerych were very well done, impressive images created in digital matte painting. With my colleagues from the Alter adv studio I selected the high resolution photos of Rome, Venice and Milan and with the matte painting technique I created the posters with our beautiful cities under attack by the mother ship that you see in the film .
